Silent Film Sound: History, Theory & Practice, International Conference

The Department of New German Literature and Media Studies at Kiel University in collaboration with Kiel Society for Film Music Research presents an International Conference on Silent Film Sound on February 22-23, 2013.

The aim of this conference is to gather international scholars in the field of musicology, film studies and related disciplines to promote the discourse on history, theory and the practice of silent film music and sound.

The conference is carried out as part of the ongoing FWF project The Sounds of Silents – Sound & Music in Viennese Cinemas 1895 – 1930
